Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah AKYUZ

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah AKYUZ completed his master’s degree with a thesis on “urban movements” at Edinburgh University, the oldest university in Scotland, between 2013-2014. Continuing his academic career in England between 2015-2019, Akyüz received his doctorate (Ph.D.) title with the thesis he wrote at the University of Leeds on the effects of Fukushima and Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accidents on human rights. Conducting scientific studies in Japan and Ukraine within the scope of his doctoral studies, Dr. Emrah Akyüz has contributed many books to the literature. The book works brought by the author to the literature are as follows: (1) “Nuclear Power and Human Rights in Japan: The Fallout of Fukushima”, (2) “100 Unknown Scientific Facts on Environmental Problems”, (3) “Save the World: Scientific Secrets of a Clean Environment” , (4) “ABC of Environmental Science: Environmental Issues and Policies for Beginners”, (5) “Environment and Human Rights: A Study on Turkey”, (6) City and Urbanization with Its Different Dimensions (ed.), (7) Environmental Justice (ed.) and (8) Environmental Ethics and Spinoza (ed.), (9) Nuclear Energy: Reality or Perception?, (10) The DNA of Academic Career. His research interests include environmental policy, energy policy and environmental human rights.
